Realme X50 Youth to have downgraded cameras compared to X50

In January this year, Realme X50 5G launched in China as the company’s first 5G smartphone featuring Snapdragon 765G SOC and a 120Hz display. Now, Realme is all set to launch the ‘Youth’ Edition of the phone named Realme X50 Youth. The phone was recently spotted on 3C with 30W fast charging & 5G support, and now a reliable source on Weibo shared the main differences between the X50 and X50 Youth when it comes to the cameras.

The X50 Youth is most likely coming with a similar design as the X50, but that’s something which cannot be confirmed. Anyways, talking about the cameras, the Realme X50 Youth has a Quad camera setup on the rear just like the X50, but the arrangement is slightly different.

There is a primary 48 Megapixel camera paired with an 8 Megapixel ultrawide camera and two 2MP cameras. This is different than the 64MP + 12MP + 8MP + 2MP camera setup on the Realme X50 5G. Also, there are dual selfie cameras on the front just like the X50 5G, but instead of a secondary 8 Megapixel ultrawide camera, there is a 2 Megapixel depth sensor.

The Realme X50 launched in China at a starting price of 2,499 Yuan, so it means the price of X50 Youth is going to be under 2,499 Yuan in China or under $350.

Well, since we know already that the X50 Youth supports 5G, it is most likely coming with a 5G SOC from MediaTek (Dimensity?). Also, there are chances that it would retain the Snapdragon 765G SOC from the Realme X50. That’s something which is not known so we’ll have to wait for some more information. Stay Tuned.
