With the launch of Realme 1, the company took India’s budget smartphone market by storm. We saw the same with Realme 2 Pro which became the cheapest Snapdragon 660-powered phone in India when it launched. Now, the company is ready to launch yet another smartphone in the sub Rs 15K price segment in India. The Realme U1 is launching in India on November 28 & will be the first device in the ‘U’ series from the company. Also, it will be the first smartphone to launch with the MediaTek Helio P70 processor.

Realme U1 with Helio P70

The Helio P70, as the name indicates, is the successor to the much popular Helio P60 processor that we saw powering the Realme 1. The P60 is still one of the best processors in the sub Rs 15K price segment, and the Helio P70 comes with some more features. It is not a huge upgrade from the P60, but still, it’s better.

The Helio P70 has features like High-Resolution Depth Engine, Faster Multi-Frame Noise Reduction shot, Antu Blooming Engine, Accurate AI Detection, etc. that make it a pretty unique chipset compared to the likes of Snapdragon 636, 660, etc.

Like the Realme 2 Pro, the Realme U1 has a waterdrop notch and an edge-to-edge screen with a small bottom chin. It is always better to have a small dewdrop notch than to have that big iPhone-like notch.

Some sources suggest that it is going to be a rebranded Oppo K1 so, considering the specs of that phone, the Realme U1 is expected to feature a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ display, 4/6GB RAM, a 3,600mAh battery, 16MP f/1.7 + 2MP dual rear cameras, 25MP front camera, etc. Again, we don’t know the specifications of the Realme U1 accurately yet.

So, what do you think of the upcoming Realme U1? The phone will launch on November 28 as an Amazon Exclusive smartphone in India.
