More than a month ago, we got our first look at the upcoming tablet from Realme named the Realme Pad. We got to know that it has a single camera on the rear with no flash and a quad-speaker setup. The official launch is scheduled to take place on the 9th of September, which means we still have almost a couple of weeks left for the launch. Now, we got to know which chipset would power this tablet, thanks to a tweet by Sahil Karoul (@KaroulSahil).
So, the Realme Pad has MediaTek Helio G80 SOC which means it is going to be a budget tablet from the brand, not a high-end tablet. Still, as the renders of the tablet have revealed, it comes with a solid build quality and doesn’t look cheap at all. There is a unibody aluminum finish.
On the front, this tablet features a 10.4-inch display, and instead of going for an LCD, Realme went for a 60Hz OLED, so that’s nice! For comparison, even the Mi Pad 5 & Mi Pad 5 Pro offer an IPS LCD. There is a 7,100mAh battery which is normal for tablets, so nothing surprising here. The tablet is just 6.8mm thick and has four speakers.
In terms of the cameras, Realme Pad has a single 8 Megapixel rear camera and an 8 Megapixel selfie shooter. The selfie camera is placed on the right bezel as most of the time, you would be using this tablet in the landscape orientation. The power button is on the top, whereas the volume rockers are present on the right side.
On the bottom, you get a USB Type-C port, two speakers, and a port that does look like a 3.5mm port but reports suggest that it is there to hold the stylus.
Well, that’s all we know so far about the Realme Pad, and there is still no information on the pricing. Stay Tuned!
