Recently, we got to know that the Realme 9i is set to be unveiled in January next year & it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chip. We also got to know that design-wise, this phone will look similar to the Realme GT Neo 2, which is a high-end flagship from the brand. Well, now, we have got the renders of the phone, thanks to OnLeaks, who shared these renders with 91Mobiles. These renders give us a very good look at the design from every angle. Along with the renders, he also shared the spec sheet with 91Mobiles.
As we can see, the camera module of the Realme 9i has the same design as the one on Realme GT Neo 2 except for the fact that there is only one flash module instead of two. We can also see the text on the camera module that says “Matrix AI camera.” The back panel has a pattern of vertical lines, maybe for a better grip since the phone has a polycarbonate build. Realme is going to call this design as the “Stereo Prism Design”.
There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, but we cannot say whether the display is LCD because we have seen phones with AMOLED panels in this price range having a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Realme 9i gets a USB Type-C port on the bottom alongside the 3.5mm headphone jack & the speaker grill.
And finally, there is a display with a hole-punch cutout in the top left corner.
Speaking of the specs, Realme 9i has a 6.6-inch display & it is an LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate. This is interesting since the Realme 8i had a 120Hz LCD. Under the hood, there is the Snapdragon 680 chip which is a 4G SOC. There is up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage & the phone gets a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The phone has a 16MP selfie shooter & speaking of the triple camera setup on the back, the primary has a 50 Megapixel sensor & there is an 8MP ultrawide plus a 2MP camera.
