Realme 3 is coming in Q1 2019, a 48MP camera phone also in the works

Realme took the Indian smartphone market by storm last year by launching back to back value for money phones in the budget and the mid-range segment. It all started with the Realme 1 that launched in May last year, and it was, at the time of its launch, the cheapest phone with the MediaTek Helio P60 processor. Then, the company launched phones like Realme 2, Realme C1, Realme 2 Pro and Realme U1 in the budget segment & the mid-range segment.

Recently, there were talks of upcoming Realme A1, but we haven’t got any information about the specs or the pricing of this device. One thing that’s now confirmed is the launch of Realme 3, which, as per the CEO of Realme India, Madhav Sheth, is launching in Q1 2019, i.e., in the first quarter of this year. He revealed this in an exclusive interview with the Indian Express.

Realme 3 launching in Q1 2019

Apart from this, he also said that the company is working on a phone with a 48MP camera on the back. This is something we will see on a lot of phones this year, and phones like Redmi Note 7 have already launched with the same.

The CEO of the company didn’t reveal the name of the phone that will launch with a 48MP rear camera, so it is difficult to say if this phone is launching as a part of Realme 3 series or not.
