Poco M4 5G launching in India on 29th April

It is expected to be a rebrand of Redmi Note 11E

After launching the M4 Pro & M4 Pro 5G in the global market, Poco is now preparing to launch the Poco M4 5G. The phone will launch in India on the 29th of April, and like almost every Poco device, this is also a rebrand of a Redmi device. This time, it is reported to be a rebrand of the Redmi Note 11E, which launched in China in March. Along with the launch date, Poco India also shared the first look of the phone, and we got to see the rear design.

Well, this time as well, Poco has changed the design around the camera module, and that’s the only design change when compared to the Note 11E. The camera module has a dual-camera setup and the POCO branding. The back panel has a textured finish.

Poco M4 5G will come in at least two colors – Green-ish and Yellow. In terms of specs, it has the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SOC, a 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 5,000mAH battery, and 18W fast charging. The dual-camera setup on the rear includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 5MP camera on the front. There is a USB Type-C port on the bottom and an IR blaster on the top.

Interestingly, the specifications are quite similar to the Poco M3 Pro 5G that launched in India at ₹13,999 last year. Even the Poco M3 Pro 5G had an FHD+ 90Hz LCD, Dimensity 700, a 5,000mAh battery, and 18W charging. The difference is that there is a 50MP camera on the M4 5G compared to 48MP on M3 Pro 5G, and also, there is one less camera (M3 Pro 5G had a 2MP macro sensor too). The selfie camera is downgraded from 8MP to 5MP.

Well, we do not know at what price Poco M4 5G is going to launch in India but looking at the specs, we are expecting the starting price to be around ₹10,000-11,000.
