Today, Poco announced the launch date of the Poco F5 & F5 Pro. Both phones are launching globally on May 9, and there were already reports of the Poco F5 being a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo and the Poco F5 Pro being a rebranded Redmi K60. The official renders of the Poco F5 Pro have confirmed the same. Sudhanshu Ambhore shared these renders on Twitter.
The Poco F5 Pro is launching in at least two colors – Black & White. The white option has a plain back with no texture or pattern. On the other hand, the Black color option has a dual-tone design with the edges having a carbon fiber texture. There are three cameras on the rear and do not get confused with that square camera housing. It is a macro camera, not a periscope camera. The fingerprint sensor is placed under the display.
Since the Poco F5 Pro is a rebranded Redmi K60, the specifications are almost the same. There is a 6.67-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. The chipset is Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. There is a 5,160mAh battery, and along with 67W wired charging, the phone also supports 30W wireless charging. This makes it the first Poco phone to feature wireless charging.
The triple camera setup includes a 64MP primary camera with OIS support, an 8MP ultrawide & a 2MP macro camera. The selfie shooter has a 16MP sensor. Since the Redmi K60 supports 8K video recording at 24fps, we expect the same with Poco F5 Pro.
Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an IR blaster, and Android 13-based MIUI 14.
Compared to the Redmi K60, the only difference is the battery size. Redmi K60 in China has a 5,500mAh battery, whereas the Poco F5 Pro has a 5,160mAh battery.
There is no information on the pricing.
