Release Date

$282

We first got to see the NORD N20 5G back in November last year when the renders of the phone surfaced online. This is a successor to the OnePlus NORD N10 5G that launched in 2020 with Snapdragon 690 5G SOC for $299. The OnePlus NORD N20 5G is now official, and it will go on sale in the US on the 28th of April. Also, it will be available through T-Mobile for a price tag of $282. So yes, while the successor is cheaper than the predecessor, we also need to consider the gap between the launch of the two phones.

OnePlus NORD N20 5G

Design-wise, the NORD N20 5G is definitely one of the better-looking OnePlus phones out there in the market. There is a unique symmetrical camera setup design on the back where each sensor is placed separately, and there is no housing for all the cameras. The phone’s sides are flat, and so is the display on the front, which has a hole-punch cutout in the corner. Also, the fingerprint scanner sits under the display, not on the side.

In terms of the specs, the OnePlus NORD N20 5G has a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED with a 60Hz refresh rate. So, while it is not a high refresh-rate panel, it is still an upgrade over the LCD of NORD N10 5G. There is Snapdragon 695 5G SOC under the hood that is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The storage is expandable via a microSD card of up to 512GB. There are three cameras on the back that include a primary 64MP sensor, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP monochrome sensor. For selfies, the phone has a 16MP camera. Finally, there is a 4,500mAH battery and support for 33W charging. Android 11 runs out of the box with OxygenOS 11 on top.

Comparing these specs to that of Nord N10 5G, the N20 5G lacks an ultrawide, has a bigger battery, faster charging, and a better panel.
