OnePlus Nord CE specs are out – 90Hz AMOLED, 750G & plastic build

It is launching on the 10th of June

A few days ago, OnePlus announced that it would launch its next Nord series phone on the 10th of June in India. It is named the OnePlus Nord CE, where CE stands for “Core Edition.” As we talked about in our previous article on the device, the phone is a toned-down version of last year’s OnePlus Nord and hence will be even more affordable. Today, the major specifications of Nord CE were shared by Yogesh on Twitter which reveals that the biggest downgrade is in the design and the performance.

As per the tweet, the OnePlus Nord CE has a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with a 1080p resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, there is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SOC which is a downgrade compared to the Snapdragon 765G of the OnePlus Nord of 2020. It is paired with UFS 2.1 storage. There is a 4,500mAh battery inside, which is bigger than the 4,115mAh battery of the Nord. There is also support for Warp Charge 30T, which is a fancy name for OnePlus’ 30W fast charging.

In terms of the cameras, there are three on the back that includes a primary 64 Megapixel shooter paired with an 8 Megapixel ultrawide and a 2 Megapixel depth sensor. The primary sensor is from Omnivision. On the front, there is the same old 16 Megapixel selfie shooter.

Unlike the Nord, which had a glass back, the OnePlus Nord CE is entirely made out of plastic. It doesn’t even have the alert slider, something that is a unique aspect of OnePlus phones. There is just one speaker on the phone.

Well, a plastic build and no alert slider doesn’t sound like something we associate with a OnePlus phone, but well, only time will tell how OnePlus fans are going to react to these decisions by the brand.
