OnePlus NORD CE 2 5G launching on February 11

We saw the design of this phone back in December last year

Last year, we got a handful of NORD series phones from OnePlus, one of which was the OnePlus NORD CE 5G. It was a mid-range 5G phone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G and was like a toned-down version of the OnePlus NORD of 2020. In December last year, we got to see the design of the OnePlus NORD CE 2 5G, the successor to the NORD CE 5G. Now, we know when the NORD CE 2 5G is launching.

Max Jambor revealed on Twitter that the phone is launching on the 11th of February, which means we have a couple of weeks left for the official unveiling.

We know the specifications already, so the OnePlus NORD CE 2 5G has a 6.4-inch 90Hz AMOLED, a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SOC, a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera array on the back, a 16MP camera for selfies, 65W fast charging, and a 4,500mAh battery. The phone will launch with Android 11 running out of the box. Initially, it was planned to launch this phone with Android 12 based OxygenOS 12, but due to issues in OxygenOS 12, the phone is now launching with Android 11.

The same was the case with the recently launched OnePlus 9RT that runs Android 11 out of the box in India. Both the 9RT and Nord CE 2 are expected to get OxygenOS 12 update in April this year.
