The OnePlus Ace 5 & Ace 5 Pro were launched in China in December last year with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 & Snapdragon 8 Elite, respectively. Today, the brand launched two new smartphones under the Ace 5 series in the Chinese market, the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing and OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra. These feature a new design and performance-centric chipsets.
ONEPLUS ACE 5 RACING
Starting with the cheaper of the two, the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing features a different design than the OnePlus Ace 5 & Ace 5 Pro. Gone is the circular camera module, as it is now replaced with a smaller & more minimal camera module with two cameras. The phone is IP64-rated.
There is a flat display on the front with a hole punch cutout in the middle. Unlike the OnePlus 13T launched recently in China, there is no extra iPhone-like Action button on the side.
The performance is the main USP of this phone. The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing has the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. For better thermals, the phone has a 7000+ mm² vapor chamber. There is a massive 7,100mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging. The phone also gets the Bypass Charging feature.
The display on the front is a 6.77-inch Full-HD+ 10-bit OLED with 120Hz refresh rate. As for the cameras, there are two on the rear. The primary rear camera has a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS, and the secondary camera has a 2MP depth sensor. There is a 16MP sensor for the selfie camera. The phone can shoot 4K 60fps videos from the rear camera, but the selfie camera is limited to 1080p 60fps video recording.
Finally, the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing runs on ColorOS 15, based on Android 15.

ONEPLUS ACE 5 ULTRA
The OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra gets some notable upgrades over the Ace 5 Racing. First and foremost, there is a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, the most powerful MediaTek chipset on the market right now. On the AnTuTu benchmark, the phone scores over 3.2 Million points. The phone also gets a dedicated G1 WiFi chip for better WiFi reception. The cooling system is also upgraded, as the phone has a 7300 mm² vapor chamber and a 41875 mm² heat dissipation area.
The battery is smaller than the Racing Edition at 6,700mAh, but there is faster 100W wired charging support.
The display is upgraded too. The OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra has a 6.83-inch 1.5K 144Hz 10-bit OLED panel with 3840Hz High-Frequency PWM Dimming, Oppo’s crystal shield glass protection, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ support. There are stereo speakers, and the phone is IP65-rated.
In terms of cameras, the primary camera on the rear has a 1/56″ 50MP Sony IMX906 sensor with OIS, and the ultrawide camera has an 8MP sensor. There is a 16MP selfie camera. The video recording support is the same as the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing.
