OnePlus 8T CYBERPUNK 2077 EDITION launched at ¥3999

A couple of weeks after the launch of 8T, the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition is now official in the Chinese market. Like all the limited Edition phones out there, the main USP of this phone is its design which looks absolutely sick! In China, the phone is priced at ¥3999, which translates to around $599.

The biggest design change compared to the OnePlus 8T apart from the color scheme is the camera bump on the rear. There is a gigantic camera bump that stretches from one side to the other to include the big ‘2077’ text. There is no change in the arrangement of the cameras, though. The back has a dual-tone finish, so a majority of the portion is covered with the AG Glass finish & on the bottom, there is a slightly different finish that includes the ‘Cyberpunk’ logo in Yellow color. On the dedicated product page on the OnePlus’ Chinese website, the company also mentions “Forged Carbon Texture”.

There isn’t any change in the front design as the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk Edition has the same single hole-punch cutout on the top left. Since it is a Limited Edition phone from OnePlus, there is a ‘Cyberpunk’ theme applied on top of HydrogenOS. So there is a custom Boot Animation, Recovery Mode, Fastboot Mode, New Icons, A different Fingerprint scanner animation etc.

There are some new Camera filters named “Night City” & “North California” that let you take really amazing & colorful night-time shots, inspired by the game itself.

You get a customized Yellow-coloured box & alongside the phone itself, you will also find a special Cyberpunk 2077 Case.

Well, the specifications remain unchanged, so the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk Edition has a 120Hz OLED panel, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SOC, 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GBUFS 3.1 storage, a 4,500mAh battery, 65W Warp Charge 65 & Android 11 based HydrogenOS.

The price in the Chinese market is ¥3999 (around $599) & the pre-orders have started from today. The phone will go on sale starting on November 11. There is no word on the global launch yet, but we are surely expecting the phone to launch outside China soon!
