The OnePlus 12 was launched in China in December last year with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a starting price of ¥4299 (~$600). Later in January, the phone was launched in the global market, starting at $799 / €949 / £849 / ₹64,999.
The brand is launching the OnePlus 13 in the Chinese market on October 31, and the company has now shared the official images of the phone a week before the launch.
The OnePlus 13 is coming in three color options – Black, Blue, and White. One of the major design changes this year is on the side. The phone features a flat-frame design versus a rounded frame on the OnePlus 12.
The camera module design on the rear is identical to the OnePlus 12, but the camera module is not part of the frame this time.
The power button and the volume rockers are placed on the right side, and the alert slider is on the left side.
Speaking of the specifications, the OnePlus 13 has a BOE X2 OLED display with a Quad-HD+ resolution, and this is the world’s first smartphone display that has received the DisplayMate A++ certification. The phone has a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 510 PPI pixel density.
Under the hood, the phone has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 / Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and the phone comes with up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.
The OnePlus 12 already had a pretty big battery last year at 5,400mAh and this year, the brand is going one step further. The OnePlus 13 has a 6,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The phone is IP68/69 rated and has a glass back with a metal frame.
Speaking of the cameras, some sources have revealed that the phone has a triple 50MP setup on the rear. The telephoto camera offers 3x optical zoom.
We can expect the OnePlus 13 to be launched in the global market a month or two after the launch in China.
