Last month, the hands-on images of a mysterious Nokia smartphone (codenamed “Daredevil”) with triple cameras leaked. Now, it was expected that it would launch under the Nokia 5 or Nokia 6 series, but it looks like it is launching under the Nokia 7 series. Today, the Nokia 7.2 showed up on Geekbench & while the listing didn’t reveal a whole lot of specifications, it did reveal information about the codename, the processor, RAM & the Android version.
The phone runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box & is powered by Snapdragon 660 SOC. It is worth mentioning that it is a chipset launched in 2017 & still, instead of going for processors like Snapdragon 675 or 710, Nokia is going for Snapdragon 660 & that too, for a Nokia 7 series phone. There is 6GB RAM.
The Nokia 7.2 scores around 1,600 on single-core & 5,800 on the multi-core. The Geekbench listing clearly mentions the codename “Daredevil”, so the previously leaked Nokia phone with triple cameras is indeed the 7.2.
The Nokia 7.2 features a waterdrop notch, triple rear cameras with primary 48MP sensor, a 3,500mAh battery under the hood & a premium glass & metal build.
