Carl Pei confirms that company is not working on any OnePlus X2

Three years ago, OnePlus launched the OnePlus X smartphone in the mid-range segment that featured a beautiful design and amazing display quality. Along with that, it had a great processor, and overall, it was a pretty nice offering from the company. But, the phone wasn’t successful, and so, the company decided to stop the production and said that they would be focusing only on the high-end phones. At that time, it was pretty much confirmed that OnePlus won’t launch any successor of the X in the future, but from past few days, rumors about the OnePlus X2 started.

No OnePlus X2
It was rumored that OnePlus is working on the OnePlus X2 but the Co-Founder of the company, Carl Pei, has confirmed on Twitter that the company isn’t working on any such device.  He said that this is fake news. BTW, it would’ve been great to see OnePlus coming back to the mid-range segment, and with the rumored specs like Snapdragon 835, dual cameras, and price under $300, this would’ve been a great phone.

The OnePlus 6 is the next major smartphone coming in June-July, and after that, the OnePlus 6T will be launched in November. So, OnePlus is still sticking with its policy of launching just two high-end phones in a year.
