Motorola Edge 30 Pro launching globally on February 24th

The phone is already available as Edge X30 in China

In December last year, Motorola launched the World’s first smartphone powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the Moto Edge X30. Two months after the launch, Motorola has announced that the phone is launching globally this month. Now, the company did not officially reveal the name. The company just said that a new ‘Edge’ series phone is coming. But going by the rumors, it is the Moto Edge X30 that is expected to launch globally as the Motorola Edge 30 Pro.

Since both Motorola Global & Motorola India posted about the launch, the phone is launching in India on the same day.

As we know already, Motorola Edge 30 Pro is a high-end flagship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SOC. There is a flat panel with a hole punch on the front, stereo speakers, a glass back, and triple rear cameras. The panel on the front is a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED with a 144Hz refresh rate. There is a 60MP selfie camera in the hole punch cutout. On the back, the triple camera module includes a primary 50MP sensor with OIS, a secondary 50MP sensor for the ultrawide lens, and finally, a 2MP camera for depth information.

The battery size is 5,000mAh, and the phone also supports 68W fast charging. Finally, Android 12 runs out of the box.

In China, Motorola Edge 30 Pro (aka the Moto Edge X30) was launched at ¥3199, which translates to around $500! In the global market, we are not expecting it to launch for the same pricing, but it is said that it might launch as the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phone.
