Meet Moto G 5G Plus, the latest mid-range device from Motorola & also the company’s cheapest 5G phone currently in the market. The phone starts at just €349 & at this price, the specifications that this phone offers are not bad at all. Now, this is not the first mid-range 5G phone from Motorola. In fact, there is the Motorola Edge (non-Plus version) as well, but that phone is a more premium mid-range device.
MOTO G PLUS 5G – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS
The design is the phone is different from every Motorola device we’ve seen this year. There are dual punch-hole selfie cameras, but instead of having a single pill-shaped cutout, there are two separate cutouts. As the renders show, the phone is tall, and that’s because of the 21:9 aspect ratio display.
On the back, the phone has a Quad camera setup placed in a square camera module flanked by a tall LED flash module. The fingerprint scanner is not on the back or under the display but rather on the right side, and it also acts as a power button.
The Moto G Plus 5G has a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ LTPS display with 90Hz refresh rate & HDR10 support. The aspect ratio, as mentioned above, is 21:9. The body is made of plastic, so the phone isn’t as premium as the Motorola Edge, but this also reduces the overall price.
Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chipset that comes with an integrated 5G modem. The phone has 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB internal storage which is further expandable.
The camera setup on the rear includes a primary 48 Megapixel shooter with f/1.7 aperture lens and Quad Pixel technology, a secondary 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with 118-degree FOV, a 5 Megapixel Macro camera & a 2 Megapixel depth sensor. The primary rear camera can shoot 4K 30fps videos & the rest of the cameras are limited to Full-HD video recording.
On the front are dual cameras including a primary 16 Megapixel shooter paired with an 8-megapixel camera. Finally, there is a 5,000mAh battery & the phone supports 20W TurboCharging. Android 10 runs out of the box.
