Today, alongside the Xiaomi 12 series, the company also unveiled the new version of its custom skin, MIUI. It is the MIUI 13, and unlike MIUI 12, there aren’t any major UI changes. The main focus is on performance. Xiaomi says that the company focused on the core functions this time, and that resulted in a 52% increase in fluency as compared to the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced. Xiaomi says that this new version introduces Mi Smart Hub in Beta. So, this will make all the Xiaomi ecosystem devices work together seamlessly.
In terms of the UI changes, there are now new Widgets in MIUI 13, new dynamic wallpapers, and even a new font. As we know already, there is also MIUI 13 Pad, a version of MIUI 13 optimized for large-screen tablets. There are things like pinch-to-resize, drag-and-drop, etc, in this Pad version.
