When it comes to Fast Charging in smartphones, we have seen that every year, we get a new technology that improves the charging speed. This year, first Xiaomi showcased its 100W SuperCharge Turbo technology & then Vivo unveiled the 120W Super FlashCharge technology.
Today, at an event in China, Xiaomi announced the Mi Charge Turbo which is a 30W Wireless Charging technology, making it the fastest wireless charging technology for smartphones.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 launched this year with 20W Wireless Charging but the Mi Charge Turbo technology takes it even further by charging the phones wirelessly at 30W. While we are getting phones with 30W Wired Charging, Xiaomi just announced a technology to charge phones wirelessly at the same speed. Isn’t that impressive?

According to Xiaomi, this technology can charge a 4,000mAh battery up to 50% in merely 25 minutes & can fully charge it in 69 minutes. Again, we are talking about wireless charging here, not wired.

Another interesting thing is the Reverse wireless charging. It can charge iPhone XS’s battery up to 20% in half an hour. So, while it is not as fast as wireless charging, this reverse wireless charging technology is faster than that from Huawei & Samsung.

Xiaomi 9 Pro 5G will launch soon with the Mi Charge Turbo technology & 5G support, so that’s something the company also announced at the event.

Moreover, it will feature 40W Fast Wired Charging as well. So, in terms of the charging speed, the Xiaomi 9 Pro 5G is going to be an incredible device.
Xiaomi says that in the coming future, the fast wireless charging will become a standard for the flagships. The Mi Mix 4 (or Mi Mix Alpha) is expected to launch by the end of September & it may feature the 30W Fast Wireless Charging that Xiaomi announced today.
