Recently, we got to know the benchmark scores of the OnePlus 16, which is powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro SOC. The phone scored over 3,000 points on single-core and over 11,000 points on multi-core. While we did not know what the phone looked like then, we now have the official images of the phone shared by the brand.
The OnePlus 16 is coming in at least three color options.
All three colors have their distinct characteristics. The black color option has a plain back panel, which looks quite minimal. The orange color option has the text on the rear, which says ‘MASTERPIECE’ and a unique pattern. The silver color option goes one step further and adds even more design elements with LED lights. The rest of the design language remains unchanged, versus the OnePlus 15.
As we already know via the leaks, the OnePlus 16 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro SOC and has up to 16GB of RAM with 1TB of storage. There is a massive 9,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The phone has a 185Hz BOE X4 OLED panel with slim 0.99mm bezels and an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner. The triple camera setup on the rear includes a primary 1/1.4″ 200MP Samsung HPE sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera. There is said to be a 50MP sensor for selfies. The phone runs on ColorOS 17 out of the box, based on Android 17. There is IP68 + IP69 rating.
Well, while the specifications are impressive on paper, it is said that the OnePlus 16 will not be launched outside the Chinese market, which, if true, means we are losing out on an impressive flagship phone.
