The OnePlus 15 was officially launched in October last year in the Chinese market, and we are expecting the same to be the case this year with the OnePlus 16. The company has already started teasing the launch, but it has not shared the official launch date yet. Well, the phone has now been spotted on Geekbench, and the listing has revealed the benchmark scores of the device.
This listing also revealed the specifications of the chipset.
The OnePlus 16 is powered by Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon chipset with the model number ‘QTI SM8975.’ This is said to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. The SOC comes with an 8-core CPU, which includes two cores clocked at up to 5.01GHz, three cores clocked at up to 4.03GHz, and the remaining 3 cores clocked at up to 3.74GHz. This means the rumors of a Snapdragon chipset with a 5GHz CPU were indeed correct. We also got to know via this benchmark that the GPU is Adreno 850, the phone has up to 16GB of RAM, and it runs on Android 17 out of the box.
Speaking of the benchmark scores, the OnePlus 16 scores over 3,000 points on the single core and over 11,000 points on multi-core. For comparison, the OnePlus 15 with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 scores around 1700 points on single core and 7500 points on multi-core. This means there is a big difference in performance.
As per Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 16 features a 9,000mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging. For comparison, the OnePlus 15 launched with a 7,300mAh battery and 120W fast wired charging.
The primary rear camera has a 1/1.4″ 200MP sensor, the ultrawide camera has a 50MP sensor, and the periscope telephoto camera has a 1/1.95″ 50MP sensor. The display has a 165Hz refresh rate, but in certain games, it will go up to 185Hz.
Finally, the phone runs on Android 17-based ColorOS 17.
