This year, we had two flagship chipsets by MediaTek – Dimensity 9200 and Dimensity 9200+, featuring the ARM Immortalis-G715 GPU and built on TSMC’s 4nm (N4P) process. MediaTek usually unveils its next year’s flagship chipset in the last quarter of the previous year. In short, the unveiling of the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 should be happening pretty soon. But ahead of the official announcement, we now have the specifications of this chipset, thanks to Digital Chat Station on Weibo.

As per the source, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 has an octa-core CPU with one prime Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.25GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores, and four Cortex-A720 cores. This is an interesting configuration since, usually, we see three or four efficiency cores (A510, A520, etc). But here, all are performance-focused cores. While this means a significant boost in performance, this should also mean an increased energy consumption and heating.
The GPU is the ARM Immortalis-G720, launched in May this year. As per ARM, the G720 brings up to 40% improved system-level efficiency and an average of 15% performance improvement over the G715.
Finally, it is reported that MediaTek Dimensity 9300 is built on the same TSMC 4nm N4P process as the predecessor.
