MediaTek Dimensity 8100 specs leaked, has a Mali-G610 GPU

We already know that there is a Dimensity 8000 as well

Last year in December, we learned that MediaTek is already working on a high-end SOC that will sit below the Dimensity 9000 in terms of performance, named the Dimensity 8000. We also got to know the specifications of that chip. Now, along with Dimensity 8000, MediaTek is also going to launch the Dimensity 8100. As the name suggests, this one is going to be more powerful than the Dimensity 8000 but still will be less powerful than the top-of-the-line Dimensity 9000. Today, Digital Chat Station shared the key specs of this SOC on Weibo.

MediaTek Dimensity 8100

Just like the Dimensity 8000, 8100 is built on the 5nm process and has an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A78 cores for performance and four Cortex-A55 efficiency-focuses cores. The difference comes in the clock speed. The four Cortex-A78 cores feature clock speeds of up to 2.85GHz in the case of Dimensity 8100, up from 2.75GHz for the Dimensity 8000. The clock speed for the efficiency-focused cores remains the same at 2.0GHz.

Dimensity 8100 also gets a better GPU than 8000. It has the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU (vs. G510), and in terms of specs, it is the same as Mali-G710 but with a lower core count. The Mali-G710, if you do not know, is the GPU for the Dimensity 9000 SOC.

Speaking of the launch, these new Dimensity chipsets are launching in March, and the upcoming Realme GT Neo 3 is expected to launch with this SOC.
