Lenovo K10 Plus with Snapdragon 632 launched at Rs 10,999

Lenovo K10 Plus launched in India today as a budget phone from the brand. The phone features a triple camera setup on the rear, a display with waterdrop notch, Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SOC & 4GB RAM. All this comes at a price of Rs 10,999 which, considering there are now much better phones at this price, makes it a kind of overpriced device from Lenovo which was not expected after the launch of Lenovo K10 Note.

When the Lenovo K10 Note with Snapdragon 710 launched at a starting price of Rs 13,999, we thought Lenovo will now launch phones at more aggressive pricing. But at Rs 10,999, the K10 Plus doesn’t seem like a phone that you should go for. The design isn’t bad considering there is a display with a waterdrop notch on the front & shiny plastic back. This design is seen in the majority of phones at this price.

The display on the front is a 6.22-inch HD+ LCD panel & yes, we didn’t make any mistake here. It is a 720p panel & the phone costs Rs 11K. There is no mention of any display protection as well.

Under the hood, there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SOC which is a last year’s chip that we have seen powering phones like the Asus Zenfone Max M2. FYI, the Max M2 costs Rs 7,999 only.

There is 4GB RAM, 64GB storage & the option to expand the storage via microSD card up to 2TB.

On the back, the Lenovo K10 Plus has a triple camera setup that includes a primary 13MP f/2.0 camera with PDAF, a secondary 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 120-degree FOV & a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a single 16MP AI selfie camera.

The battery underneath is a 4,050mAH unit & the phone also supports Quick Charging. Android 9 Pie runs out of the box.

Finally, for comparison, there are phones like Redmi Note 7S, Realme 5, etc. at this price that comes with better specs than the K10 Plus. In fact, you can get a much better SOC at Rs 7,999 in the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 so why would someone spend Rs 10,999 for the K10 Plus? There isn’t anything special that justifies this price tag!

Anyways, if you still want to buy it, it will be available on Flipkart & will go on sale starting September 30.
