Lava Agni 2, powered by Dimensity 7050, launching on May 16

The phone features a curved display!

The Lava Agni was launched in November 2021, featuring the Dimensity 810 chipset. While the company did not launch the successor in 2022, the Lava Agni 2 is set to launch this month. The launch date is May 16, and it will be a mid-range smartphone with some interesting specifications. Lava has already revealed the phone’s design and a couple of specifications.

Lava Agni 2 has a premium design, including a circular camera module, a Quad camera setup, and a glass back. A curved display on the front has a hole punch cutout in the center. The fingerprint sensor is under the display. Again, we are talking about a phone that is expected to be priced at around ₹20,000 in India; these are some incredible design features for that price.

Under the hood, the phone has the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SOC, a rebadged Dimensity 1080. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 44W fast charging. The primary camera has a 50MP sensor. Finally, Lava Agni 2 runs on Android 13.

Well, the specifications are impressive, and based on the specs alone, there seems to be no phone around ₹20,000 that can offer a better value than the Agni 2. But then again, it will all come down to the software and software updates in general.
