Infinix Zero 8i with MediaTek Helio G90T launched in India

Infinix launched a new smartphone in the Indian market named the Infinix Zero 8i & it is just the Infinix Zero 8 that launched in August in Indonesia but with some changes. The phone is priced at Rs 14,999 in India & for that price, you get a 90Hz LCD, MediaTek Helio G90T SOC, 33W Fast Charging, Dual Selfie cameras & more.

Design is definitely one of the highlights of this phone. There is a diamond-shaped camera module on the rear that includes four cameras in it along with the LED flash. The back also has a dual-tone design, so the top part has a matte-like finish while the bottom part has a shiny finish. The fingerprint scanner is there on the side & doubles as the power button. The USB Type-C port is there on the bottom along with the 3.5mm headphone jack.

On the front, the Infinix Zero 8i has a 6.85-inch Full-HD+ LCD with 90Hz refresh-rate & 180Hz touch-sampling rate. The display has a dual selfie camera cutout on the top left corner where the 16MP primary camera is placed along with an 8 Megapixel ultrawide camera. For comparison, the Zero 8 that launched in Indonesia has a 48 Megapixel primary camera on the front.

Under the hood, there is the MediaTek Helio G90T chipset paired with 6GB RAM & 128GB storage that is expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot. There is a 4,500mAh battery & the phone also supports 33W Fast Charging.

The Quad camera setup on the rear includes a primary 48 Megapixel camera paired with an 8 Megapixel ultrawide camera, a 2 Megapixel depth sensor & another 2 Megapixel sensor. For comparison, the Zero 8 has a 64 Megapixel IMX686 sensor as the primary.

Infinix Zero 8i runs on Android 10 out of the box with the company’s custom skin on top.

In India, the phone is available in two colors named Black Diamond & Silver Diamond. It is priced at Rs 14,999 & will be available on Flipkart starting 9th of December.
