Infinix launched a new mid-range device in the Indonesian market under the “Zero” series named the Infinix Zero 8. For a price of around $250, the phone feature a gorgeous design, powerful Helio G90T chipset, Quad cameras on the back, a 48 Megapixel selfie camera & a smooth 90Hz display. Well, the specs do seem promising for the price, don’t they?
As we said, the design is gorgeous as the phone has a diamond-shaped camera setup on the rear & a two-tone look. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the side because there is an LCD panel on the front. Talking about the front, the phone has a pill-shaped hole-punch cutout for dual selfie cameras. The USB Type-C port is there on the bottom.
The display on the front is a huge 6.85-inch IPS LCD with a refresh-rate of 90Hz & a touch-sampling rate of 180Hz.
One of the interesting things about this phone is that the dual-camera setup on the front includes a primary 48 Megapixel camera paired with an 8 Megapixel wide-angle camera. So if we don’t count the Flip Camera of Asus, this is perhaps the highest megapixel camera for selfies that we have seen on any phone!
The Quad camera setup on the back has a primary 64 Megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor paired with an 8 Megapixel ultrawide, a 2 Megapixel depth sensor & a 2MP camera for low light videos.
The chip powering the Infinix Zero 8 is the MediaTek Helio G90T which, as we know, is a very powerful chipset for mid-range devices. There is 8GB RAM & 128GB storage, and the phone packs a 4,500mAh battery with 33W Fast Charging. Finally, Android 10 based XOS 7 runs out of the box.
