In May last year, the HTC U23 & U23 Pro were launched, both featuring the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SOC, 30W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, an IP67 rating, and a 120Hz OLED display. The brand has now launched the HTC U24 Pro in Taiwan. This is a mid-range smartphone like its predecessor, and the specifications are pretty impressive for a mid-ranger. The price in Taiwan is TWD$18,990, which translates to around $590.
Design-wise, the phone not only looks premium but uses premium materials too. It has a metal frame with a matte finish and a curved display on the front. The phone does not skip the 3.5mm headphone jack, so it is present on the top. There is an IP67 rating and a USB 3.0 Type-C port. The phone weighs 198.7g and the thickness is 8.98mm.
Speaking of the specifications, the HTC U24 Pro has a 6.8-inch Full-HD+ OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass protection. What’s interesting is the two-color LED indicator light present on the front. The fingerprint scanner is present under the display.
There is a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SOC under the hood with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB or 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The storage is expandable as well.
The HTC U24 Pro has a 4,600mAh battery and supports 60W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse charging.
Speaking of the cameras, there are three on the back. The primary camera uses a 50MP sensor with an f/1.88 lens. The ultrawide camera uses an 8MP sensor with an f/2.2 lens. The third camera has a 2x telephoto lens with a 50MP sensor. The primary camera has OIS and can shoot 4K videos.
There is another 50MP sensor on the front for selfies.
Finally, the HTC U24 Pro runs on Android 14 out of the box. There is no mention of stereo speakers on the official website, so we are assuming that the HTC U24 Pro has a mono speaker like the predecessor.
The HTC U24 Pro comes in two colors – Blue & Beige.
The price starts at TWD$18,990 (~$590).
