Honor Magic 2 3D has graphene cooling & 3D Face Unlock

Last year, the Honor Magic 2 launched with a bezel-less design, a slider & the Kirin 980 processor. Today, the company announced the Honor Magic 2 3D with a couple of changes in the hardware. The first is the 3D Face Unlock, and the other is graphene cooling.

If you remember, the Honor Magic 2 launched with triple cameras on the front that included a 16MP camera and dual 2MP cameras. So, with the Magic 2 3D, the company replaced one of the dual 2MP cameras with a dedicated sensor for 3D Face Unlock. Now, the company hasn’t revealed if this is a 3D ToF (Time Of Flight) sensor or there is any other technology used for it. Whatever the case is, the Face Unlock will work even in complete darkness.

Another addition is the Graphene Cooling which is used to maintain a stable performance by controlling the temperatures. There is no difference in the specifications however as it has the same 7nm Kirin 980 processor, same display, same rear cameras, etc.

The Honor Magic 2 3D is available in one variant only that has 8GB RAM and 512GB ROM. The price is 5,799 Yuan or $864. The phone is already up for sale in China.
