The Honor 200 & Honor 200 Pro were launched in May in the Chinese market, and later in July, they were launched in India. The Honor 200 was a mid-range phone with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and dual 50MP cameras, whereas the Honor 200 Pro was a flagship with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset.
The brand is preparing to launch the Honor 300 series in China, and the phones are now listed on the official website, revealing the color options and the design. There will be at least three smartphones this time – Honor 300, Honor 300 Pro & Honor 300 Ultra.
The camera module design has changed this time, versus an oval-shaped camera module on the Honor 200 series. The Honor 300 has a dual camera setup on the rear, meaning either the ultrawide of the telephoto camera is not present on this phone, which was not the case with the Honor 200. There is a flat display on the front, which could be a micro quad-curved display likethe Honor 200. The phone is launching in five color options.
The leaked specifications of the phone include a dual 50MP camera setup on the rear, 100W fast charging, an optical under-display fingerprint scanner, a plastic frame, 6.97mm thickness, and a Snapdragon 7 series chipset.
The Honor 300 Pro has a similar camera module, but this one has a triple camera setup. The camera module on both phones says “Portrait Master,” which suggests both phones have telephoto cameras. The Honor 300 Pro has a curved display with a pill-shaped cutout for the two sensors on the front. The phone is launching in three color options.
Speaking of the specifications, we know that the Honor 300 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SOC, versus the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 in the Honor 200 Pro. The phone has an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner, a plastic frame, and there is a telephoto camera with a 50MP sensor. The display is a 1.5K OLED, and the phone supports 100W fast charging.
Finally, we have the Honor 300 Ultra, and compared to the Honor 300 Pro, the Ultra features a periscope telephoto camera on the rear, hence a square-shaped lens. There is also a unique white color option for the Ultra which has this textured finish on the rear. Another way to differentiate between the Honor 300 Pro & Ultra is the red “Portrait Master” text on the camera module on the Honor 300 Ultra. The specifications are not yet known for the Ultra but we expect the phone to feature Snapdragon 8 Elite or the Dimensity 9400 chipset.
