Honor 20S with Kirin 810 & hole-punch display is now official

The Honor 20 series got a new member today as the Honor 20S launched in China & it is the fourth phone in the series that already includes Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro & Honor 20i. When it comes to the specifications, it sits between the Honor 20i & Honor 20. Some of the highlights of it include a hole-punch display, 7nm Kirin 810 SOC, Triple Rear Cameras, 20W Fast Charging etc.

HONOR 20S – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS

The 20S looks familiar to the Honor 20 when it comes to the design with one exception, i.e., there are triple cameras on the 20S while the Honor 20 has an extra Macro lens on the rear. Except for this, the design is the same with a side-facing fingerprint scanner, hole-punch display, USB Type-C port on the bottom etc.

The Honor 20S comes with a 6.26-inch hole-punch display & it is an LCD panel with Full-HD+ resolution (2340×1080 pixels). The 7nm Kirin 810 SOC powers the device & it is a very powerful mid-range chip that is equivalent or even better than the Snapdragon 730. There is 6/8GB RAM & 128GB internal storage.

Coming to the cameras, the Honor 20S features a triple camera setup on the rear that has a primary 48 Megapixel unit with f/1.8 aperture lens, a secondary 8MP wide-angle camera & a third 2MP macro lens. It is worth mentioning that the rear camera can shoot 4K videos at up to 30FPS, not 60.

On the front, there is a single 32MP camera with f/2.0 aperture placed in that hole-punch cutout.

There is a 3,750mAh battery underneath & the phone supports 20W Fast Charging as well. It is always nice to see these mid-range phones featuring fast charging.
