Asus ROG Phone 7 & Rog Phone 7 Pro official renders leaked

The design looks clean!

The Asus ROG Phone 6 series was launched in July last year, featuring the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Later that year, Asus launched the ROG phone 6D series, featuring the Dimensity 9000+ SOC. Now, the company is preparing to launch the ROG Phone 7 series & the launch is scheduled on April 13, in less than a week. Today, a well-known leakster, Evan Blass, shared the official renders of both the Asus ROG Phone 7 & Asus ROG Phone 7 Pro on Twitter.

Design-wise, there are some subtle differences between the last year’s models. First, the non-Pro model no longer has a display on the rear. But, the phone has a two-tone design where the top part seems transparent, similar to the Nothing Phone 1. The Asus ROG Phone 7 has that RGB strip on the back which we saw on the ROG Phone 6 & 6D. Overall, the design is cleaner this time since there are lesser lines & text on the back.

The story is similar with the Asus ROG Phone 7 Pro. It has a cleaner design than the ROG Phone 6 Pro & ROG Phone 6D Ultimate. But, it retains the secondary rear display & also the flap, which is used to directly cool the internal components of the phone using the AeroActive cooler. Asus calls this the “AeroActive Portal.”

Both phones have the same camera module & it is smaller than last year. The front design, however, is the same.

Every year, there are two main upgrades that Asus brings with its new ROG Phone series – Performance & Cooling. It is already known that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SOC powers the Asus ROG Phone 7 & Asus ROG Phone 7 Pro. But, there is no information on what new upgrades we are getting in the cooling department.

If other specifications are not changed, we are looking at a 6.78-inch 165Hz AMOLED display on both phones, a 6,000mAh battery, a 50MP primary camera, a 13 Megapixel ultrawide & a 5 Megapixel macro camera.
