The Asus ROG Phone 5s & 5s Pro launched in August last year, and six months after their initial launch, the phones are now official in the Indian market. Since they are last year’s gaming phones, they feature the previous generation Snapdragon 888+ SOC. The price starts at ₹49,999 for the ROG Phone 5s and ₹79,999 for the ROG Phone 5s Pro.
Design-wise, these phones have different back designs. On the ROG Phone 5s, there is an RGB ROG logo, whereas, on the ROG Phone 5s Pro, there is a POLED display on the back. This display can show incoming calls, charging animation, plugged-in accessory indicators, etc.
Speaking of the specs, both the phones have a 6.78-inch AMOLED with a Full-HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The fingerprint scanner is present under the display, and there is Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Both phones have Snapdragon 888+ SOC, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. The vanilla ROG Phone 5s has up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, but the ROG Phone 5s Pro gets 18GB RAM and 512GB storage. The three cameras on the back include one primary 64MP sensor, a 13MP sensor for the ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro camera. There is a 24MP selfie camera.
Finally, both the phones feature a 6,000mAh battery and support up to 65W fast charging. In the box, Asus provided only a 30W adapter. Also, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack on both phones.
