Asus ROG phone was undoubtedly one of the best gaming-centric phones of last year, featuring a unique design & top of the line hardware. Now, the company is all set to launch the second generation of the ROG Phone. The Asus ROG Phone 2 is in the rumor mill for quite some time now & we have heard a lot of rumors regarding a 120Hz display on the phone. Today, Asus officially announced that the successor of ROG Phone is coming soon with a 120Hz display.

This would make the Asus ROG Phone 2 first smartphone in the world to launch with a 120Hz AMOLED panel. FYI, the OnePlus 7 Pro has a 90Hz AMOLED display so you can imagine how smooth the display performance of the ROG Phone 2 is going to be. Users will most likely be able to switch between 60Hz, 90Hz or 120Hz. Asus has already partnered with Tencent for better optimization in games.

The Asus ROG Phone 2 is coming with the top of the line Snapdragon 855 processor & probably a UFS 3.0 storage like the OnePlus 7 Pro. We have no information regarding the design and other specifications yet.
