Today, the alleged retail box of the upcoming Huawei Mate 30 leaked via Weibo that didn’t reveal much except for the storage & the model number. Now, we know both the Mate 30 & Mate 30 Pro feature Kirin 990 SOC but today, the full specifications of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro leaked via Weibo & while we cannot say if they are 100% accurate, they definitely confirm many previous leaks.
As per this new leak, the Mate 30 Pro has a display with the size around 6.6-6.8″ & Full-HD+ resolution (1176 x 2400). Now, that’s weird since the Mate 20 Pro of last year had a Quad-HD+ screen. It is a waterfall AMOLED display which means the display has extremely curved edges like upcoming Vivo NEX 3. There is 8GB RAM & 512GB ROM.
Under the hood, as we know, there is Kirin 990 5G SOC that’s based on 7nm+ process & features 2x Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.86GHz, 2x Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.36GHz & 4x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.95GHz. It is definitely better than the normal Kirin 990 that doesn’t support 5G. There is Mali-G76 MP16 GPU & also an NPU based on the Da Vinci architecture & having 2 Big Core + 1 Tiny Core. There is an integrated 5G Modem as well.
Coming to the cameras, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro has a 40MP main camera (27mm) with Sony IMX 600 sensor (1/1.73 RYYB), f/1.6 aperture & Optical Image Stabilization. There is a second 40MP wide cine camera (18mm), a third 8MP telephoto camera (80mm) with 3X Optical Zoom + OIS & finally, a TOF sensor. There is Xenon Flash & a colour temperature sensor as well.
On the front, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro has a triple camera setup with a primary 32MP camera, a secondary ultra-wide-angle camera & a third TOF sensor. So, on paper, the camera setup is killer!
There is Huawei Face ID 2.0 & interestingly, it can even measure your breathing rate & heart rate.
The Mate 20 Pro had a huge 4,200mAh battery, but the Mate 30 Pro takes it even further as it has a 4,500mAh battery with 40W SuperCharge & 27W SuperWirelessCharge support. For charging, there is a USB Type-C port. For audio output, there is an under-display earpiece speaker & a single bottom-firing speaker.
There is a physical power button but a touch-based volume slider. Android 10 runs out of the box with EMUI 10 on top & there are no Google apps or Services pre-installed.
Well, if these specifications are accurate, this phone is going to be one heck of a premium flagship from Huawei.
