Samsung will launch its new foldable phones on the 11th of August at the Unpacked event, but a day before that event, Xiaomi is going to unveil its Mix series device. It is the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4. The phone is set to go official on the 10th of August in China, and the company has officially confirmed the name as well as the launch date on Weibo. As the name shows, this is the successor of the 2019’s Mi Mix 3, which had a slider to show the rear cameras.
Unlike the Mi Mix Fold of this year, it isn’t going to be a foldable phone, but one thing that is its main highlight is the under-display selfie camera. So, just a day before Samsung launches its phones with an under-display selfie camera, Xiaomi is launching its first phone with this technology. A video was shared by Digital Chat Station on Weibo, and in that video, we can see the display panel of the Mi Mix 4. When illuminated, the selfie camera is not visible, but as the panel is turned off, we can see the camera sensor. You can check that video below –
Details are scarce at the moment, so we don’t know how the Mi Mix 4 looks like or what its specifications are. But, since the launch is scheduled to take place in less than a week, we would surely get to know more about this phone in the coming days.
