In February this year, Xiaomi Mi 10 series flagships launched in China that included the Mi 10 & the Mi 10 Pro. Today, Xiaomi launched another flagship under the Mi 10 lineup, but this one is different because this one is the most powerful & the most feature-packed device that Xiaomi has launched so far this year. It is named the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra & we know from where Xiaomi took the inspiration for the name.
One number that defines this phone is “120”. How? Well, the Mi 10 Ultra has 120W Fast Charging, 120X Zoom Camera, and 120Hz Display.
XIAOMI MI 10 ULTRA – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS
The main difference between the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro & Mi 10 Ultra when it comes to the design is on the rear. The front is the same because both phones have a curved display with a single hole-punch cutout on the top left. On the rear, the Mi 10 Ultra has a big camera module that features four cameras in it.
The highlight of this camera setup is the Periscope ZOOM lens on the top which features 120X Zoom! Also, the Mi 10 Ultra gets a transparent variant as well, which shows the various components underneath the rear panel. To no surprise, there is no headphone jack. A little detail on the rear is that along with the Xiaomi branding, it says “10th Anniversary Edition”.
Let’s talk about the camera setup first. The Quad camera setup on the rear houses a primary 48 Megapixel camera with a 1/1.32-inch sensor, Optical Image Stabilization & f/1.85 aperture. There is a 48 Megapixel Periscope Zoom camera with 10X Optical Zoom & up to 120X Digital Zoom.
There is OIS for this Periscope camera as well. The third camera is a 12 Megapixel telephoto lens with 2X Optical Zoom & finally, there is a 20 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter with 128-degree Field Of View.
There is support for 8K video recording with not only the primary camera but also the 48MP Periscope camera. Also, the camera of Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra got a DxOMark rating of 130, which is the highest so far.
On the front, there is a 20 Megapixel camera for selfies.
Another impressive feature of the Mi 10 Ultra is its Fast Charging. The phone supports 120W Fast Wired Charging & also 50W Fast Wireless Charging. As per Xiaomi, the 4,500mAh graphene-based Li-ion battery of the Mi 10 Ultra can be fully charged via 120W Charging in just 20 minutes!
Talking about Wireless Charging, it can charge the battery fully in just 40 Minutes. Finally, you can charge another device using Mi 10 Ultra at 10W Power, thanks to the Reverse Wireless Charging.
On the front, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra has a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch-sampling rate & HDR10+ support. The fingerprint scanner is placed under the display & there is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The display packs a peak brightness of 1,120nits.
Finally, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip (not the 865+) & there is 8/12/16GB LPDDR5 RAM paired with 128/256/512GB UFS 3.1 storage. Android 10 based MIUI 12 runs out of the box & some other features include Stereo Speakers, LiquidCool 2.0 Vapor Chamber etc.
