¥2399 (~$335)

Xiaomi Civi 2 is now official in the Chinese market, and this is the successor to last year’s Xiaomi Civi / Civi 1S. The Civi series is about premium design, and the Civi 2 is no exception. It is also one of the very few phones from Xiaomi/Redmi to feature dual selfie cameras, and on top of that, the phone even has two front-facing flash modules. So it won’t be wrong to say that after the design, the next main highlight of this phone is the selfie camera performance.

Design-wise, the phone comes in four colors, and the white color variant features a unique pattern on the back. The device weighs around 171.8g and is 7.23mm thick. There are no flat sides since the phone has a curved display. There are stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, but the phone lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Under the hood, Xiaomi Civi 2 has the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, so in terms of performance, this is rocking the current fastest mid-range SOC by Qualcomm. This SOC is paired with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.

The battery size is 4,500mAh, and the phone supports 67W fast charging. There is support for Quick Charge 2.0 and Power Delivery 3.0 standards.

On the front, Xiaomi Civi 2 has a 6.55-inch display. It is a 120Hz 10-bit OLED panel with a Full-HD+ resolution and up to 1000nits peak brightness. The display is protected with Gorilla Glass 5, and the fingerprint scanner sits under the display. The display also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+.

Regarding the cameras, the phone has three on the rear and two on the front. The primary rear camera has a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens. The secondary camera has a 20MP sensor with an ultrawide lens and 115-degree FOV. Finally, the third camera has a 2MP sensor and is there for macro photography.

On the front, Xiaomi Civi 2 has two cameras. The primary shooter has a 32MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens, and the secondary camera has a 32MP sensor with a wide-angle lens (100-degree).

There are four color options to choose from, and here is the pricing for the Chinese market –

  • 8GB + 128GB – ¥2399 (~$335)
  • 8GB + 256GB – ¥2499 (~$348)
  • 12GB + 256GB – ¥2799 (~$390)

The sale has started in China, but there is no word from Xiaomi on the launch outside the Chinese market.
