Last year, Xiaomi announced the rebranding of the “CC” series to the “Civi” series. We got two phones under the Civi series last year, the Xiaomi Civi and Civi 1S, featuring a beautiful design and mid-range specifications. The phones under the Civi series are all about design, and on September 27, the Xiaomi Civi 2 is launching in the Chinese market.
This time as well, the design is one of the main highlights of this phone. There is an anti-glare glass back and a unique pattern of curved lines under this glass back. The camera module is somewhat similar to the Xiaomi 12 series, except that there is also a big circle that has two camera sensors in it. There is Dolby Atmos branding on the top, so that means the phone has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. Also, since there is no speaker grill on top, the secondary speaker is placed in the earpiece on the front.
As per Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi Civi 2 is 7.23mm thick and weighs around 171.8g. So compared to phones these days, this phone is quite lightweight. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SOC, which is currently the most powerful 7 series SOC by Qualcomm. It is worth mentioning that the Xiaomi Civi and Civi 1S had Snapdragon 778G and 778G+, respectively. Finally, the primary camera on the rear has a 50MP sensor.
We are yet to see the front of the phone, but the last year’s Civi phones featured a curved display with extremely thin bezels, so we are expecting the same with Civi 2.
