₹69,999

The Xiaomi 14 was launched in China in October last year, featuring a compact design and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SOC. Last month, the phone was launched in Europe at €999. Today, the phone was launched in the Indian market at a price of ₹69,999.

This is not the most aggressive price for a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered phone in India, as the OnePlus 12 & iQOO 12 are more affordable. But, this phone is not your typical flagship with some cost-cutting or compromises to decrease the price. Instead, this is a full-fledged premium flagship from the brand.

Xiaomi 14

Xiaomi 14 comes with a glass back and an aluminum frame. The phone is IP68 certified and has a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, WiFi 7, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, wireless charging, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and a flat display.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and in India, the phone comes in a single configuration – 12GB LPDDR5X RAM + 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. There is a 4,610mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging support. Xiaomi has used the “IceLoop” cooling technology in this phone, which the company claims to be 3x better than traditional smartphone cooling systems.

One of the highlights of this phone is the camera setup. Xiaomi 14 has three rear cameras. The primary camera has a 1/1.31″ 50MP Light Fusion 900 sensor with an f/1.6 lens and OIS.  The ultrawide camera has a 50MP sensor with an f/2.2 lens. The third camera has a telephoto lens with a 50MP sensor and OIS.

The phone comes with some LEICA goodies, including built-in LEICA filters, LEICA color tones, and LEICA cinematography.

Xiaomi 14 can shoot 8K videos at up to 24fps, Dolby Vision HDR videos at up to 4K 60fps, HDR videos at up to 4K 30fps, and ultra night videos at up to 4K 24fps.

The phone has a 32MP sensor for selfies that can shoot 4K 60fps videos. The selfie camera supports Dolby Vision HDR video recording at up to 4K 30fps.

Xiaomi 14

Xiaomi 14 has a 6.36-inch flat LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2670 x 1200 pixels), 1-120Hz refresh rate, 3000 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and 12-bit color depth.

Finally, HyperOS runs out of the box.

Xiaomi 14 comes in three colors – Black, Jade Green, and White. The price is ₹69,999, but you can get the phone for as low as ₹64,999 as there are some bank offers. It would be interesting to see how this phone competes with the OnePlus 12 in terms of sales because, in the Indian market, OnePlus is considered a more premium brand than Xiaomi.
