The Xiaomi 12 series launched initially in China back in December last year, where we got three phones under it. Now, the series is official in the global market as well. In the global market too, there are three phones under this series, and the names remain unchanged as well. So, we have the Xiaomi 12X as the cheapest of the three, the Xiaomi 12 and the Xiaomi 12 Pro.

Xiaomi 12 Pro

There is no change in specs as well, so just to recap, Xiaomi 12 Pro has a 6.73-inch Quad-HD+ 10-bit LTPO AMOLED with a dynamic refresh rate between 1Hz-120Hz, Gorilla Glass Victus protection, DisplayMate A+ rating, and 1500 nits peak brightness. There is an optical under-display fingerprint scanner. The SOC powering this phone is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and there is LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The triple camera setup on the back includes a primary 50MP 1/1.28” Sony IMX707 sensor with OIS, a 50MP sensor for ultrawide shots, and a 50MP sensor for the telephoto camera. There is a 32MP camera for selfies. The battery size is 4,600mAh, and Xiaomi 12 Pro supports 120W fast charging. There is support for 50W fast wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. Xiaomi provides a 120W charger in the box. MIUI 13 runs out of the box, which is based on Android 12.

Xiaomi 12

Next up, we have the vanilla Xiaomi 12. Compared to the Pro version, it has a compact form factor, thanks to a 6.28-inch AMOLED with a Full-HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel has Gorilla Glass Victus protection, DisplayMate A+ rating, and HDR10+ support. The SOC remains the same as the Pro version, so there should not be any difference in performance.

In terms of cameras, Xiaomi 12 has three on the back, where the primary camera has a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS, a 13MP sensor for ultrawide shots, and a 5MP telemacro camera. For selfies, there is a 32MP camera.

The battery size is 4,500mAh, and Xiaomi 12 supports 67W fast wired and 50W fast wireless charging. There is also 10W reverse wireless charging support.

Xiaomi 12X

Finally, we have the Xiaomi 12X. This one is the cheapest of the three, and one of the reasons for that is the SOC. Instead of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or the Snapdragon 888/888+, this phone has the Snapdragon 870 SOC. Apart from the chip and wireless charging support, this is the same phone as the Xiaomi 12. So, it has a 6.28-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED, a 4,500mAh battery, 67W fast charging, 50MP + 13MP + 5MP triple rear cameras, and a 32MP selfie camera.

Coming to the pricing, Xiaomi 12X starts at $649/€699, and the base variant offers 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. Xiaomi 12 starts at $749/€799, and the base variant has 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. The Xiaomi 12 Pro starts at $999/€999, and there is 8GB RAM + 256GB storage for the base variant.

As for availability, these phones will soon be available in Europe, SEA, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa.
