The Vivo X200 & Vivo X200 Pro were launched in China in October with high-end specifications and impressive camera setups. Today, the brand launched the two phones in the Indian market, and these are the successors to the Vivo X100 & X100 Pro, which were appreciated a lot for their camera performance. With the X200 series, Vivo continues the tradition of offering the best possible camera experience in its “X” series smartphones.

VIVO X200

VIVO X200

Design-wise, the Vivo X200 has a flat-frame design, versus a rounded frame on the Vivo X100. Still, the glass on the front is slightly curved on all four sides. The back has a similar circular camera module with a triple camera setup and the ZEISS branding. The phone is IP68 & IP69-certified. It is a shame that despite being a premium flagship phone, the phone still has a USB 2.0 Type-C port.

Under the hood, the Vivo X200 has the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset built on TSMC’s 3nm process. This is the most powerful chip from MediaTek currently in the market and offers up to 28% faster CPU and 41% faster GPU than the previous generation. Thanks to a more efficient manufacturing process, the power consumption of the CPU & GPU is reduced by up to 40% & 44%, respectively.

The phone has a 5,800mAh battery, and it is India’s first smartphone with a semi-solid state battery that can operate in temperatures as low as -20°C. The phone supports 90W fast wired charging, but there is no wireless charging support.

Speaking of the display, the Vivo X200 has a 6.67-inch 1.5K 8T LTPS OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 4500 nits local peak brightness, 10-bit colors, HDR10+ support, and 2160Hz PWM dimming. There is an optical under-display fingerprint scanner.

Finally, let’s talk about the cameras. The Vivo X200 has three rear cameras. The primary camera has a 1/1.56-inch 50MP Sony IMX921 sensor with CIPA 4.5-level stabilization. The ultrawide camera has a 1/1.276-inch 50MP sensor with a 119° FOV lens. Finally, there is a third periscope telephoto camera with a 1/2″ 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor, an f/2.57 lens, OIS, and a 3x optical zoom. The selfie shooter has a 32MP sensor. There is support for 4K 60fps recording from the front camera.

The Vivo X200 runs on Android 15-based FuntouchOS 15 out of the box.

Here is the pricing for India –

  • 12GB + 256GB – ₹65,999
  • 16GB + 512GB – ₹671999

VIVO X200 PRO

Vivo X200 Pro

Speaking of the Vivo X200 Pro, it is the most premium offering from the brand for 2025. The phone has a similar design language as the vanilla model, but the camera module on the rear is bigger, thanks to the larger sensors. The phone has a similar flat-frame design with quad-curved glass on the front. The phone uses Armor Glass for the display protection, and there is IP68 + IP69 certification.

Unlike the vanilla model, the Vivo X200 Pro has a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port.

Vivo X200 Pro

The primary camera 1/1.28-inch 50MP Sony LYT-818 sensor with a large f/1.57 aperture lens and CIPA 4.5-level stabilization. The ultrawide camera is the same as the vanilla model.

The third camera has a periscope lens with a 3.7x optical zoom and a 1/1.4″ 200MP Samsung HP9 sensor, which we saw on the Vivo X100 Ultra. This camera has an f/2.67 lens and the same CIPA 4.5-level stabilization as the main camera.

The selfie shooter has a 32MP sensor.

The phone can shoot up to 8K 30fps videos from the primary rear camera. All cameras on this phone can shoot 4K 60fps videos, including the selfie camera. The primary rear camera and the periscope telephoto camera can shoot 4K videos at up to 120fps.
