The much-hyped Vivo T1 5G is now official in the Indian market, and it is a budget 5G phone from the brand with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SOC. Before the launch, Vivo teased this phone as the fastest phone in its price segment, and it looks like Vivo was not lying. With a starting price tag of ₹15,990, this has the most powerful chip for the price. Now, it is a 5G phone, so of course, there are some compromises that we will mention in this article.
Design-wise, Vivo T1 5G has a polycarbonate build, and there are flat sides. There is a single bottom-firing speaker, a hybrid SIM card tray, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a display with a waterdrop notch on the front. So in terms of the design, this phone is missing some things that we expect to see in phones priced above 15K in India, such as a display with a hole punch and stereo speakers.
Now, the display on the front is an LCD, not an AMOLED, so that is also one area where cost-cutting has been done because typically, what smartphone brands do is either they offer an LCD with a hole punch or an AMOLED with a notch. The display measures 6.58-inch, and it is a Full-HD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of around 460 nits. There is also a noticeable chin on the bottom.
Under the hood, there is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SOC which we have seen on the Moto G71. There is 4/6/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB storage. This phone supports only two 5G bands.
Coming to the cameras, Vivo T1 5G has three cameras on the back where the primary camera has a 50MP sensor, and the other two are respectively for depth sensing and macro shots. There is a 16MP selfie shooter. The battery size is 5,000mAh, and the phone supports 18W fast charging.
Finally, Android 12 runs out of the box with FunTouch OS 12 on top.
Vivo T1 5G comes in two colors named Rainbow Fantasy and Starlight Black. There are three storage options and here is the pricing –
