Vivo NEX 3 has no buttons as there isn’t space to put them

Vivo might announce the launch date of its upcoming NEX 3 smartphone on Monday & we already have a glimpse of the waterfall display of the Vivo NEX 3, thanks to Li Xiang, Vivo’s Product Manager. Now, if you don’t know, a waterfall display means the display is curved at almost 90-degree on the sides that gives an immersive feel.

Today, Ice Universe revealed on Weibo that the Vivo NEX 3 has no physical buttons on the sides as there is no space to put them.

This is not the first time we are getting a phone from Vivo with no buttons at all. In fact, in January this year, Vivo Apex was unveiled, a phone with full-screen design & no physical buttons. The phone had no port as well so to charge it, there were magnetic pins on the rear.

Well, the curved sides of the display are pressure-sensitive, so this pressure-sensitive technology is used to perform tasks that we can do with volume rockers & the power button.

Ice Universe further added that these physical buttons are just like the headphone jack, & they will disappear on phones sooner or later. Do you think that’s going to happen in the future? Do let us know via the comments section below.
