A few days back, a couple of live images gave us a look at what was reported to be the upcoming Vivo iQOO 3 5G smartphone. The live images revealed that this time, the company went for a punch-hole design instead of a notch.
The phone was also spotted on various sites like Geekbench & TENAA recently, revealing the key specifications like the Snapdragon 865 SOC, a 6.44-inch AMOLED display, Quad cameras on the rear, a 4,370mAh battery, etc.

Now, the same source that shared the live images of the phone has revealed that the iQOO 3 5G ha UFS 3.1 storage. It is worth mentioning that the UFS 3.1 storage standard was announced just recently. JEDEC, an independent semiconductor engineering trade organization, and standardization body, has already published its UFS 3.1 specification.
The official press release mentions three key upgrades over the UFS 3.0 standard –
- Write Booster
- DeepSleep
- Performance Throttling Notification
These upgrades will help improve the performance & efficiency even when the UFS 3.1 has the same theoretical maximum bandwidth of 2.9GBps as UFS 3.0.
It is hard to say if the Vivo iQOO 3 5G would be the first to launch with UFS 3.1 storage since we don’t know the launch date yet.
