Snapdragon 670 Specifications Revealed, production will start in Q1 2018

When it comes to smartphone processors, Qualcomm is on the top of the list. The chip maker has produced some of the best and most powerful processors so far. The latest processor from Qualcomm is the Snapdragon 835 for High-End phones and the Snapdragon 660 for the mid-range phones. The Snapdragon 660 was launched back in May this year along with the Snapdragon 630. Today, we got information about the next chipsets coming from the company along with the specifications of Snapdragon 670, which is going to be the successor of 660.

Snapdragon 670

First of all, talking about the roadmap, the Snapdragon 635, 638 and 670 are launching in the first Quarter of 2018. So basically, the Snapdragon 630 and 638 are the successors of 630 while the Snapdragon 670 is the successor of 660. Along with these details, the specifications of the SD 670 have also leaked that suggest a really powerful processor, capable of providing performance similar to the Snapdragon 835. (We aren’t joking!)

Snapdragon 670 specifications

  • Based on Samsung’s 10nm LPE Technology
  • 2x Kryo 360 core + 6x Kryo low power core (Probably A75+A55)
  • Adreno 6xx GPU
  • ARM DynamIQ Technology

So yes, just like the Snapdragon 835, the 670 is going to be built on Samsung’s 10nm LPE Technology. Along with this, the Adreno 6-series GPU will be there, promising much better performance than the GPU of Snapdragon 660. Last, but not the least, there will be the ARM DynamIQ Technology, and in case you don’t know, you can read about DynamIQ here at AndroidAuthority.

So, seems like 2018 is going to be an exciting year as Snapdragon 845 is also launching in the first Quarter of 2018. Stay Tuned for more updates.
