Samsung Galaxy F42 5G is now official in the Indian market, and it is a rebrand of the Galaxy Wide 5, which recently went official in South Korea. The phone starts at ₹20,999 in India, and this makes it quite a confusing launch from Samsung since at this price, the phone is offering a Dimensity 700 chipset, a 90Hz TFT, and a 5,000mAh battery with just 15W fast charging support.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G

Since this is just a rebrand of Galaxy Wide 5, there isn’t any change in the design. The Galaxy F42 5G has a display with a waterdrop notch on the front & a triple camera setup on the back. There is a unibody polycarbonate design, and the fingerprint scanner is there on the right side. The 3.5mm headphone jack is present on this phone.

Speaking of the main USP of this device, it packs the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SOC and supports 12 5G bands. And well, that’s it! That’s the only highlight of this phone.

You get a Full-HD+ 90Hz TFT on the front, which is a shame since the Galaxy F41 of last year had a Super AMOLED. The triple camera module includes a primary 64MP sensor, a secondary 5MP ultrawide, and a third 2MP depth sensor.  There is an 8MP selfie camera. Finally, you get a 5,000mAh battery, and the phone supports 15W charging only.

Speaking of the price, the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G comes in two colors – Black & Blue. Here is the pricing for India –

  • 6GB + 128GB – ₹20,999 (Introductory price – ₹17,999)
  • 8GB + 128GB – ₹22,999 (Introductory price – ₹19,999)

The phone will go on sale in India on the 3rd of October, and you can buy it via Flipkart or Samsung’s online and offline stores.
