Samsung has launched its Galaxy A52s 5G smartphone in India, and the phone comes at a starting price of ₹35,999. The main USP of this device is its Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chip and the fact that it supports 12 5G bands. Then there is also IP67 certification and a camera with Optical Image Stabilization. So, all these things make it a quite good phone at this price, even though it does seem a bit overpriced since, at this price, we start to see Snapdragon 888-powered flagships.
Design-wise, it is similar to recently launched Samsung phones, so you get a flat display on the front with a hole-punch cutout in the center and a rectangular camera module on the back with a Quad Camera system in it. The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack as well, and it is placed on the bottom alongside the USB Type-C port. Now, a 3.5mm jack and IP67 rating should not be a surprise, especially for Samsung, because Samsung has successfully made even its foldable phones water-resistant. You don’t get a premium glass and metal sandwich design here as the phone has a polycarbonate build.
You also get Stereo speakers on this phone with Dolby Atmos. Speaking of the specs, Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED with a Full-HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. So, in terms of the display, there are absolutely no complaints. Under the hood, there is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G SOC, and this chipset is seen on relatively cheaper phones in India, such as the Realme GT Master Edition and the Motorola Edge 20. The phone has 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. You also get an option to expand the storage via a microSD card of up to 1TB.
The battery size is 5,000mAh, and the phone supports 25W fast charging. We are not sure if Samsung would provide a 25W adapter in the box, or you’ll get only an 18W adapter.
Finally, in terms of the cameras, you get a Quad camera setup on the back where you get a primary 64 Megapixel sensor with OIS, a 12 Megapixel ultrawide, a 5 Megapixel macro, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 32 Megapixel camera.
Samsung says that this phone will get Android updates for three full years, so that’s impressive! There are two storage options, and here is the pricing for India –
