Redmi Note 9 Pro benchmarked on Geekbench with Snapdragon 720G

A week is still left for the launch of Redmi Note 9 series in India & so far the company hasn’t revealed any major highlight of any of the two phones. All we know is that there are Quad cameras on the back & they are placed in a square-ish camera housing. Today, however, the Redmi Note 9 Pro showed up on Geekbench & this revealed the benchmark scores of the phone as well as the SOC & the amount of RAM.

As we can see, the variant of Note 9 Pro that was benchmarked has 6GB RAM & Android 10 runs out of the box with MIUI 11 on top. The SOC is from Qualcomm, so this means there is no MediaTek Dimensity 800 SOC as reported earlier by some sources.

Talking about the benchmark scores, the Note 9 Pro scores 569 on single-core & 1,755 on multi-score. Interestingly, these scores are very similar to those of the upcoming Realme 6 Pro which is most probably coming with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SOC.

Well, this could be a huge hint that the Redmi Note 9 Pro has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SOC. Compared to the MediaTek Helio G90T SOC of Redmi Note 8 Pro, the Snapdragon 720G scores better on Geekbench. But when it comes to the GPU performance, the Helio G90T is better.
