In our previous article, we talked about the 5G powered Redmi Note 9 5G & Note 9 Pro 5G smartphones that launched in China. Well, alongside those phones, the company also launched the Redmi Note 9 4G. Just like the 5G devices, the Note 9 4G is a different phone altogether compared to the Redmi Note 9 that launched globally. Some highlights of this phone include a massive 6,000mAh battery, a Full-HD+ display, Snapdragon 662 SOC etc.
REDMI NOTE 9 4G – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS
There is nothing fancy about the design since it is a budget phone from the brand. There is a textured back panel with a huge Redmi branding on the back & a triple camera setup placed in a rectangular camera module on the top left. The fingerprint scanner is there on the right side & it doubles as the power button. The USB Type-C port is there on the bottom while the 3.5mm headphone jack is placed on the top. There are stereo speakers on this phone, so the primary one is placed on the bottom whereas the secondary speaker is placed on the top.
Coming to the front, there is a 6.53-inch Full-HD+ LCD with a waterdrop notch & Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The chipset powering the Redmi Note 9 4G is the Snapdragon 662 which is paired with 4/6/8GB RAM & 128GB storage. The phone packs a huge 6,000mAh battery inside & supports 18W Fast Charging. You can also reverse charge another phone with the Note 9 4G.
Finally, speaking of the cameras, the Redmi Note 9 4G has a primary 48 Megapixel camera on the rear paired with an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera & a 2 Megapixel macro camera. For selfies, there is an 8 Megapixel camera on the front. For the front & the rear cameras are limited to up to 1080p 30fps video recording. MIUI 12 based on Android 10 runs out of the box.
